Congratulations! You have just climbed to the main crostrees, the highest platform on which you can stand. You are looking straight down the mainmast to the deck, over the starboard side. By scanning you can see the foremast to your left and the mizzen mast to your right.
As a crew member you'll have the opportunity, but not the obligation, to go aloft. We can use all the hands we can get when we furl the sails so you'll find friendly helpful deckhands aloft if you choose to go up into the rig. If you decide to stay on deck you can always lend a hand working the lines with a crewmember and later coiling and hanging.
