Note: A Pin Chase is a classic exercise aboard tall ships where new crew members "learn the ropes" by lining up at the foremast while the bosun shouts out the name of any of the hundreds of lines aboard the ship. The first crew members to place his or her hand upon the correct pin is the victor.
